A timeless classic, Tigerella is a traditional heirloom with red and gold stripes. A small salad tomato, around 4-5cm diameter, it is versatile with a good old fashioned tomato flavour. Easy to grow and prolific, this is a great starter variety for the novice grower, but stands well as a staple variety for the more experienced gardener too!
Indeterminate, regular leaves
Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency. They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level). They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.
