Ongweh Ias's selection from Tom Wagner's initial Grungy in the Sky F2, this line won 1st place in the 2014 annual Buffalo/Niagara tomato tasting competition. Grungy in the Sky Bicolor combines fantastic flavour with excellent late blight resistance and stunning looks. Fruits are saladette size, with gorgeous bicolour skin and yellow flesh. I is descended from Skykomish and an unnamed line developed by the late Valerie “Grungy” McMurray, to whom this tomato owes its namesake. Indeterminate, regular leaf, highly productive outdoor variety.

Fabulously marked hearts, with a delicious, sweet and rich flavour. This is a new release from Sofia Saakova and is really exciting in both looks and flavour. Swee, dense fleash and a candy-fruit flavour profile, this is an excellent tomato for fresh eating!
Indeterminate, regular leaf, relatively early and prolific, this will keep going until the frost stops it.

The reddest of red beefsteaks in our collection, named for the red maple leaf of Karen Olivier’s native Canada. Tall, robust plants produce loads of big red, ribbed fruit. Plants tollerated the heat waves of 2026 very well, and did well outdoors in Wiltshire. These are very tasty reds, being well balanced with old fashioned flavour.

Here at The Tomato Lab, we source and grow artisan and heritage tomatoes to provide you with the best seeds and plants on the market! Our shop contains a combination of old heirlooms and stabilised modern varieties. Plants are grown at our smallholding in the Cotswolds, flowers are isolated to ensure purity of pollination, and seeds are harvested and prepared lovingly for shipping. This means you get a high quality, reliable product, and most importantly, the delicious variety that you want!
