Pixie Fire is a 2024 release from Terranova Farms, which has developed something of a cult following, due, in no small part, to it’s extraordinary sweetness. Some have liken it to candy, but I think they are more complex than that. With a brix of 9.5, they are certainly well up there with some of the sweetest tomatoes I have ever tested, but I think the particular balance of richness, light acidity and something unexplainable, make this one of the tastiest tomatoes I have grown.
Indeterminate, regular leaf, prolific and relatively early.
Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency.They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level).They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.See the guide on pruning indeterminates in the resources section of the website for tips.
