Pa's Pride

£4.99

An exceptional micro developed by Heide Schmaltz-Dolan of Twine and Trellis. Pa’s Pride combines convenience of a micro plant with the big taste and production of a bigger plant. If you try one micro this year, this is a very good bet!

Heide says:

A compact, yet sturdy rugose leaf, this micro multiflora tomato honors my father. It can grow to 16” in full sun outdoors and sports tresses with multitudes of flowers. Indoors you can expect smaller plants. Fruit boast a deep flavor, more like a full sized, good beefsteak which is quite uncommon in micro sized tomatoes. Deep coppery chocolate fruit with heirloom taste are striped with both olive and gold in mini starburst patterns. Fruit are round and average a bit larger than 1”. Multiflora tresses will require staking, as fruit can get quite heavy. This micro is special and strong, just like my Dad.

Micro dwarf plants are a really rewarding addition to your garden, and because of their small size they can be happily grown in a 2lt pot, outside your front door, in a window box or on a balcony. They can even be grown indoors, through the winter, on a sunny windowsill (although for best growth, some grow lights will help). They come in many different colours, flavours and leaf types, so as well as being delicious and productive for their size, they are also decorative.

Sow all year round indoors, plant out when all risk of frost has passed.

10-15 open-pollinated seeds
