MärchenWald (Marchenwald)
MärchenWald, or “Fairytale Forest” is a beautiful green when ripe variety from the Märchen series developed by Kleverhof of Germany. It produces midsize oblate fruit around 100g. Deep green skin with antho shoulders holds a lime-green interior full of flavour, sweet with some acidity, fruity. Plants are potato leaf, and carry plenty of antho in the foliage as well as the fruit, making this plant really evocative of a spellbound fairytale forest 75-80 days
Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency. They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level). They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential. See the guide on pruning indeterminates in the resources section of the website for tips.
