A variety of unknown origin, Miss Kennedy is indeterminate, regular leaf, and produces load of these mid-size, dark coloured salad type tomatoes with green shoulders. The flavour is well rounded, rich, with a little umami and a slightly smoky finish. They are really productive and do well outdoors, being adaptable to many growing environments. The fruits don’t crack, and have firm flesh, meaning they keep very well on the counter. I’m really glad I grew this, it’s a really great, versatile tomato, which is particularly good in a salad.

Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency. They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level). They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.
