A particularly striking creation from Wild Boar Farms, Michael Pollan is a pear shaped, large cherry tomato which ripens to jade and amber. It is named after an American author, journalist, and journalism professor of the same name, known for his books exploring the links between nature, food, and culture. As with most of the varieties that come from Brad Gates, this tomato does not skimp on flavour, it is strongly tangy and sweet, refreshingly fruity and really enjoyable.

Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency. They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level). They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.
