This is an extremely heavy cropping determinate, which is a GWR mutation from Purple Fairy. Plants are compact, but produce bucketloads of fruit, which are loaded wth juice and taste initially almost salty on the palate, then a big zing from the gel, citrusy, then sweet and smooth at the end when the flesh takes over. An excellent cherry tomato, which is versatile eaten fresh and also outstanding roasted.
Genetically unnusual, this tomato has striped, clear skin, over green flesh. A Tomato Lab Selection.
Determinate, early and heavy cropping, regular leaf.
Determinate plants have a bushy habit and should not be pruned. They will set all of their fruit at the same time, at the end of each branch. Smaller determinates, under 1m or so, will be happy in a 12-14lt pot, and are very well suited to planters and raised beds. They are great plants to have outside the back door, for casual snacking as well as bringing indoors to use.
