Kleiner Anthon
A new release from Reinhard Kraft, the mastermind behind so many wonderful new varieties. Kleiner Anthon is a determinate bush type, short in stature with a cascading habit. I think it would do fine in a larger hanging basket, but I have grown it in a 14lt bucket. It has just started cranking out these stunningly shaped and extraordinarily coloured cherry tomatoes. These are juicy, firm fleshed with plenty of gel. Full flavoured, slightly on the sweeter side. A real winner!
Determinate plants have a bushy habit and should not be pruned.They will set all of their fruit at the same time, at the end of each branch.Smaller determinates, under 1m or so, will be happy in a 12-14lt pot, and are very well suited to planters and raised beds.They are great plants to have outside the back door, for casual snacking as well as bringing indoors to use.
