A determinate bush-type plant of 60cm height, produces golden yellow-orange cherry tomatoes of about 50g each. This is an American Heirloom developed in the 1950s by the University of Idaho, likely with Northern Gardeners in mind, as it is a particularly early variety, suitable for growing in shorter growing seasons. Regular leaf, determinate growth, 60 days
Determinate plants have a bushy habit and should not be pruned. They will set all of their fruit at the same time, at the end of each branch. Smaller determinates, under 1m or so, will be happy in a 12-14lt pot, and are very well suited to planters and raised beds. They are great plants to have outside the back door, for casual snacking as well as bringing indoors to use.
Sow Jan-April indoors
10-15 open-pollinated seeds
