A Russian variety producing huge pink oxhearts with excellent flavour. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the small print, and pruned this one as an indeterminate. They are not. Determinate plants that reach 1m, with high production (if you don’t prune them!) I was very impressed with the fruit I got, so will definitely grow again.
Determinate, 1m, regular leaf.
Determinate plants have a bushy habit and should not be pruned. They will set all of their fruit at the same time, at the end of each branch. Larger determinates, around 1m, are great for growing in open ground, as they don’t require much support.
