A very rare variety of unknown origin. It is adapted to grow well in hot and dry regions, so did especially well in our sandy soil, outdoors in Wiltshire. Beautiful bronze and mahogany streaked skin with an unexpected colour-reveal on slicing! The interior is tricolour, and very vivid. This is also an excellent tasting tomato, with a well balanced sweet and acid ration, and plenty of depth too. Fruits are heart shaped, irregular, and can have ribbed shoulders.
Indeterminate, late but quick to ripen when they start. Regular leaves
Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency. They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level). They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.
