Another gorgeous heart from Sofia Saakova. Emerald Rain first appeared in Sofia’s garden as a split from Salute to Victoria. Gorgeous tricolour hearts have a green, grey and antho skin, sometimes with faint flashes of pink near the base. On cutting them open, they reveal a stunning interior with green-yellow flesh and a pink core, which adds drama to any plate. A delicious, strongly flavoured tomato with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity.
Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency. They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level). They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.
