A gorgeous bicolour plum, named for Edith Turner who was a Nottaway leader in West Virginia in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Among her achievements, she saved a number of Nottaway children who had been abducted, and had them returned to the reservation, acting as their foster mother.
The tomato, bred by Ongweh Ias, is beutiful inside and out, with deliciously smooth and fruity flesh, thin skin and excellent flavour.
Indeterminate, regular leaf, heavy cropper and mid season production.
Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency. They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level). They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.
