Betelgeuse F2

£3.99

A cross of Mordovian Blues with an unknown red beefsteak, this variety popped up in our polytunnel this year and was too good not to share! It is highly unstable, as an F2 you could easily end up with your own personal variety, but isn’t that part of the fun?!
This F1 expression produces loads of big, meaty, tasty beefsteak tomatoes with a scattering of anthocyanin on the shoulders. The flavour is stongly tomato-ey, rich and sweet-savoury - a real flavour bomb, which is why I wanted to share it with you! Ideal for putting on a burger, making soup with, or a caprese salad.

Indeterminate, regular foliage, and one of the first large tomatoes to ripen in our garden, at 100 days
