A new release from Sofia Saakova, from a cross of Rebel Starfighter Prime x Rescuers Selection. She maintains two lines from this cross, the other being called Distant Space / Far Space. Fruits are golfball sized and very versatile. Dark mahogany flesh, covered in green-bronze stripes, galaxy spots and a little antho on the shoulders, enough to make them beautiful, but not enough to be detectable in the flavour. Beautiful and unnusual fruit, with great flavour carried through from the parents. Sweet, rich, intense, well balanced with some acid tang to make them really quite complex in the way that only a dark tomato really can be. Relatively stable, but may still produce segregates.
Indeterminate, regular leaf, early-mid season
Indeterminate plants are vigorous plants with a vining tendency.They set their fruits at intervals along their stems, and will readily grow side shoots and suckers (shoots from ground level).They need good, strong support, and it is advisable to remove the majority of the side shoots and suckers unless you have plenty of space and fertile soil to allow them to grow to their full potential.See the guide on pruning indeterminates in the resources section of the website for tips.
