An accidental cross between Irish Stripes and Sofia’s Sweet Caramel, made by Anna Griffifths in 2024. The F1 plants produced gorgeous big, white beefsteak-hearts, with a small amount of anthocyanin. I expect the anthocyanin would have been more expressive if the plant had been grown outdoors. Plants are indeterminate, regular leaf, prolific and show good disease resistance in our garden.
An opportunity to play with a cross and see what you get in the F2 generation, which could be any combination of attributes. Given the great flavour of the F1, I expect whatever you get to be worth growing! I intend to grow a few myself and choose some strains to stabilise.
