Appropriately named, this is absolutely gorgeous, and I can’t help but touch it every time I go into the greenhouse. Allure is incredibly rare, being a fluffy, variegated micro dwarf, the first of its kind. These grow to about 35cm, and I comfortably grew two of them in a 16” hanging basket. They would be equally happy in a 2lt pot. The fruits are golden orange, and lightly fuzzy.
Micro dwarf plants are a really rewarding addition to your garden, and because of their small size they can be happily grown in a 2lt pot, outside your front door, in a window box or on a balcony. They can even be grown indoors, through the winter, on a sunny windowsill (although for best growth, some grow lights will help). They come in many different colours, flavours and leaf types, so as well as being delicious and productive for their size, they are also decorative.
Sow all year round indoors, plant out when all risk of frost has passed.
